I have no intention of entering the contest. But I think that since everyone else is sharing this information I should do the same.
#5 Balloon Fight
I played this game obsessively at my cousin's house when I was a little kid. I don't even know why I liked it so much, but with the amount of time I spent playing it had to have some influence on me.
#4 Super Mario Bros.
This was the first video game I ever experienced. I was probably around 3 when I actually played it, but I had watched my cousin play it since I was 1. Needless to say I don't actually remember much of that stuff, but I'm told that it happened.
#3 Secret of Mana
This was the first co-op game I ever played. I loved being able to play through this game with my brother. I thought that was the best thing ever. Even though they are different genres, I love Left 4 Dead for the exact same reasons that I love Secret of Mana. If I hadn't played Secret of Mana as a kid, Left 4 Dead would be on this list.
#2 Chrono Trigger
I didn't really like RPGs before I played this game. The story, the multiple endings, and the lack of random battles all pulled me into this game like not other RPG before it. I still played through a few RPGs before CT, but I never really appreciated any of them until I dealt the final blow to Lavos.
#1 Super Mario World
This was the first game I ever had at my house. Before the SNES, we weren't allowed to have videogames of any kind. My dad hated them, but my mom thought they were culturally relevant. The reason we got the SNES was that my brother and I were both becoming school age and my mother feared we would be shunned by the other kids if we didn't play videogames. So we got an SNES and Super Mario World, which has probably seen more hours put into it than most of my other games combined.
